West Coast Seismic Alert: 2 Alaskan Volcanoes Erupt As Earthquake Swarms At Mount St. Helens Raise Concerns

Volcano-Erupting-Full-Moon-Public-DomainMount St. Helens, Mount Rainier and Mount Hood are all major volcanoes that lie along the infamous “Ring of Fire” that runs down the west coast of the United States, and all of the seismic activity that has been taking place in the region has many concerned about what may happen next.  Earlier this month, I wrote about how 45 earthquakes of magnitude 2.5 or greater hit Alaska in just one 24 hour period.  This week, it is volcanic activity that is raising concerns.  The earthquake swarms at Mount St. Helens are making headlines all over the globe, and on Tuesday two major volcanoes in Alaska suddenly erupted on the exact same day…..Read More

Parts of U.S Sinking -Giant chunks of the Earth’s mantle are falling off and causing quakes across the southeastern US

imageThe southeastern United States has been hit by a series of strange unexplained quakes most recently, the 2011 magnitude-5.8 earthquake near Mineral, Virginia that shook the nation’s capital. Researchers have been baffled, believing the areas should be relatively quiet in terms of seismic activity, as it is located in the interior of the North American Plate, far away from plate boundaries where earthquakes usually occur. Now, they believe the quakes could be caused by pieces of the Earth’s mantle breaking off and sinking into the planet. 40 Volcanoes Are Erupting Right Now, And 34 Of Them Are Along The Ring Of Fire

imageYou may not have noticed, but our planet is becoming increasingly unstable. According to Volcano Discovery, 40 volcanoes around the globe are erupting right now, and only 6 of them are not along the Ring of Fire. If that sounds like a very high number to you, that is because it is a very high number. As I have written about previously, there were a total of 3,542 volcanic eruptions during the entire 20th century. When you divide that number by 100, that gives you an average of about 35 volcanic eruptions per year. So the number of volcanoes that are erupting right now is well above the 20th century’s average for an entire calendar year. And of course we are witnessing a tremendous amount of earthquake activity as well. Nepal was just hit by the worst earthquake that it had seen in 80 years, and scientists are telling us that the Himalayas actually dropped by an astounding 3 feet as a result of that one earthquake. How much more does our planet have to shake before people start paying attention? Read Article

Predictions Of Biblical Quakes On Horizon Lead To This Alarm: ‘We Are In A Race Against Time’

image.jpegWhen you hear of wars and uprisings, do not be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away.” Then he said to them: “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.” Luke 21:9-11. According to a new story from Michael Snyder at End Of The American Dream and seismologist Roger Bilham of the University of Colorado, ‘current conditions’ happening right now upon our planet Earth ‘might trigger at least four earthquakes greater than 8.0 in magnitude and what we’ve been witnessing in seismic activity across the planet in recent days may only be ‘the beginning’ as also shared in the 1st video below. Snyder tells us “if (Bilham’s) predictions are accurate, our planet could be on the precipice of a wave of natural disasters unlike anything that any of us have ever experienced before” leading ANP to ask, are we now witnessing Biblical prophecy unfolding? We’re warned below that the course of world events could literally change overnight. Read Article

Earthquake warning issued for Reykjavík

o-REYKJAVIK-facebookThe Department for Civil Protection issued a warning on Friday that heightened seismic activity on Reykjanes peninsula, approximately 60 km (37 miles) southwest of Reykjavík, in the past weeks, may lead to an earthquake of up to 6.5 magnitude in the near future. A 4.0 magnitude earthquake, which hit near Lake Kleifarvatn in late May, could widely be felt in the capital region. A 6.5 magnitude earthquake may cause minor damages to properties and cause rock falls in caves and mountains, the press release points out. “Analysis of earthquakes swarms indicates that instability may exist from Kleifarvatn and east to Ölfus. Measuring of movements in the earth’s crust in the past years also indicates that there may be tension in this area, which can lead to larger quakes.” Read Article

World may see a bigger number of large quakes, says Singapore professor

th-2Nature’s wrath struck in 2004, when a tsunami hit the coasts of several countries around the Indian Ocean. This marked the beginning of what geologists call an “active cycle”, where the Earth experiences greater seismic activity. Professor Kerry Sieh, director at the Earth Observatory of Singapore said: “The Earth goes through cycles of seismic energy release, and less release and more release. We have definitely been in the active cycle in the last 11 years since 2004. All the magnitude-8.4 earthquakes and bigger, up to 9.2, they all happened in the last 11 years. Several of those have been in Asia.” Read Article

Arizona dormant volcano struck by rare earthquake – West Coast unrest still showing

arizona-earthquake-june-3-2015Another dormant volcano is showing seismic activity in the Western United States. A rare M2.7 earthquake struck in North Arizona at the long dormant Uinkaret volcanic field. The last eruption of this volcano occurred nearly 1,000 years ago (1100 A.D.). Speaking of rare earthquakes at 1,000 year dormant volcanoes, just a few days ago (May 31st), a different earthquake struck in South Utah at the Markagunt Volcanic Plateau (just before the Oregon Earthquake swarm struck off the West coast this week).
