Prov 22:28……”Remove not the ancient landmark which thy fathers have set”, or “the ancient border” or “boundary” by which lands, estates, and inheritances, were marked, bounded, and distinguished; to remove them was contrary to God, and a curse would be upon those that did it. God has established boundary stones and boundaries in his word. These stones are a covenant and God has placed them there to remind a nation or culture of what he has done and when you move them you are violating the spiritual laws and the spiritual truth and it has tremendous consequences. It opens the door for the visitation of the enemy. These boundary stones set healthy limits for us which allows us to live to produce and to function at our highest level of kingdom living and that is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. But a spirit of lawlessness doesn’t like limits. The opposite of thriving is striving because any time you are outside of the boundaries you have to strive. There is a spirit of lawlessness that says don’t limit me, don’t tell me what to do don’t tell me what I can and can’t do because as a human being I have a right. We have a culture that is obsessed with demanding our rights while we are rejecting righteousness the very thig that is going to lead us into a place of rest, into a place of productivity, prosperity into a place of rest in our GodBut the by- product of this lawlessness is chaos, control and demonic altars. in our lives and nation. Altars are a place of consecration to good or evil. Whatever altar you are bowing to today is the atmosphere you are establishing.God placed the boundary stones there for our protection, so we could experience that abundant life he promised. We need to respect God and the boundary stones, the absolutes, the truth he has set in place. Respect the boundaries because we believe God. Respect them because we believe they mark the way to a better life. It is the truth: serving Christ is a better way of life! Obeying his commands, honouring his boundary markers leads to that abundant life
When righteousness is removed from the land then wickedness which is the lesser power to righteousness, can take over the land because righteousness has pulled backed. The church is a sceptre of righteousness that God put in the hands of Jesus. When the righteous/church stretch out the sceptre they will rule in the midst of their enemies. We may be living in a wicked time but the only hope for a nation is a church that will stretch out in righteousness. Wickedness cannot remain in the land if righteousness tells it to move.
“The role of the Watchmen is to speak the truth no matter if people listen or don’t listen.”
Revival creates the atmosphere for a heart to be changed and radically set free by the presence and the power of God. And this in turn positions that heart to receive truth to live by and to hold as core convictions. Truth cannot be silent and truth cannot be scared and truth should not be sidelined. Truth has been compromised on many levels and the boundary stones have been moved. There is an all-out war on the ancient foundations of the word of God. There are uncompromising boundaries of the word of God and they need to be brought back to where God has placed them and stop letting demonic entities move them.
WHAT A MAN SAYS People are always watching us and the things that we do. When we claim to be a Christian, they will take even more notice. Because of this, we must always make sure that we live out the things that we say we believe in.
Hebrew 12:1, NIV “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us” If there is one thing that we can be certain of it is this, more people than ever are watching the things that we do. In these modern times, with the technology that is available, more people than ever know what takes place each and every day. This is not just limited to the big things that happen, but it also includes the things that happen in each of our lives as well. It seems that so often, as soon as a person experiences something in their lives, other people start to find out about it. Through social media and other outlets word travels faster than it ever has before. When we think of this in light of scripture we should see then how important it is to remember what we profess and what we believe in. Notice in today’s scripture when it says, “Since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses”. How true that is! And what is also true is that, when a person confesses to being a Christian, people will begin to pay even more attention to them. But what does the Bible tell us that we are to do about this? It is a two-step process actually. First, we are to throw off all of the things that hinder us and the sin that entangles us. This means that we must begin to turn our focus off of the things of this world. We must not continue to pursue the things that this world offers us nor can we continue to seek to satisfy our fleshly desires. When we do this, we will be sending the message to those who are watching that we truly believe the things that we say we believe. So often people have seen Christians say one thing, but then act in a way that is against what they have said. When this happens, it is proof that they do not truly believe what they say they believe. But the passage ends by telling us that we must persevere as we run the race. The word persevere tells us that we must not stop. We must continue moving forward living in the way that the Lord has called us to live. When we say that we believe in Christ, and then we actually live out those beliefs through our actions, it demonstrates the true love for Christ that we should have. Today, I want to challenge each one of us who profess to be a disciple of Christ to examine our lives and see if we not only say that we are His disciple, but we also live it out. thefruitfulwomen.org
“I’m reminded every day how much I need to be transformed. If I’m not careful I’ll still be pursuing the world, seek my own pleasure but still think I’m in the faith.” Vodie Bauhum. Hence, we need to do honest self-examination, the more reason we need to be doer of the Word, not just mere listener deluding ourselves. Let us be like David as He cried out to God in Psalm 139:23-24, “Search me O God and know my heart. Try me and know my anxieties. See if there is any wicked way in me, then lead me in the way everlasting”
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people of His own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”#1Peter 2:9 esv
Warriors Arise There is a battle is raging. You are equipped with power from on high. Will you take up the call? It is time to arise to speak to the Mountains that are in front of you. It is time to take back what the enemy has stolen and what he is trying to steal and to advance Gods kingdom. Did not Jesus say speak to the mountain and cast it into the sea? This is not the time to shrink back but to stand firm and strong and face the battle. It is time that the enemy be put on the run. You have power and authority through Christ to put the enemy in his place. At the very mention of The Name of Jesus, the enemy has to flee! In earthly wars between countries and kingdoms, there exist two types of warfare with their own individual strategies. These are offensive and defensive types of warfare. In the spiritual fight there are the same types of warfare and both require personal initiative and active participation. Since Satan does not take rest, we should be involved in both wars. Defensive warfare is a defending of one’s territory, a forced battle launched in response to an attack from an opponent. This type of warfare does not advance into the enemy’s territory. In offensive warfare, the enemy is identified, his strategies recognized, and the attack is decisive. It is an aggressive warfare against the enemy dynamic in nature not waiting for the enemy to launch his attack but going to the enemy in his territory and gaining rather than losing territory. If ever there was a need for prayer in the church it is now. Prayer is a response that brings order and brings an answer. Fear is a reaction that brings chaos and brings anxiety. The devil does not fear, our church growth strategy, our numerical attendance, our fellowship, our organisation, our outreaches. As long as we do not pray. Satan dreads nothing more than prayer. His one concern is to keep saints from praying. A prayer less church is a powerless church.
1 Peter 5:8-118 Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.9 But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world.10 After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you.11 To Him be dominion forever and ever. Amen.
