JESUS PUTS DEMONS ON NOTICE PT. 1

42442868_2472853156074568_1859554941761224704_n.jpgBy Matthew Jess Placey – Did Jesus only come to preach the good news, heel the sick, raise the dead, and redeem us? There is more in the Bible that you know about Jesus’ mission. Curious? If you want to know the reason why JESUS PUT THE DEMONS ON NOTICE follow along. But first we have to start where it all began. I apologize for the length of this post in advance, but all this information is necessary to be understood in one setting rather than to break it up. Also, I really want you to understand this post about Jesus, so if you have any questions, or if something does not seem clear, please ask in the comments. Thank you.

What happened at the Tower of Babel?
Well, besides the obvious, what else do you see?
Who is God talking to when discussing to confound the language?
Is God talking to Himself?
No, that doesn’t make sense.
Is God talking to the other 2 members of the Trinity?
No, that doesn’t make sense either.

I know that is what you’ve been taught in church. Here’s the thing, the pastors that teach that this is the Trinity speaking to themselves are ASSUMING so, with no further proof than that what they were taught in seminary.  What I’m about to share will make perfect sense and clear up some unanswered questions.

The logical conclusion is that God was discussing what He was about to do with the people of Babel with the remaining members (those that had not transgressed against Him) of His divine Council!

Genesis 11:6
“And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.”

If you believe that God is talking to the other two members of the trinity, ask yourself, “Why would God need to inform Jesus and the Holy Spirit what they already know?”
They are one with God, are they not?

What God is doing in verse 6 is relaying INFORMATION to His Divine Council (elohim, with a small “e”), who are NOT omniscience, or omnipresent as He is. They don’t see as God sees, therefore God is explaining to them that things are getting out of hand and they need to go down and do something about it. This will make more sense when we explore other verses, so hang tight.

Why were they building a Tower in the first place?
Bible commentators have a lots of opinions on the matter, and some of those opinions are very well thought out and should not to be dismissed.  It is my opinion that they were trying to bring the gods (FALLEN ANGELS called the Apkallu) that they knew existed before the flood, down to earth and divulge godly secrets from them. (Remember these are Mesopotamians in Babylon. The Apkallu are the equivalent to the FALLEN ANGELS who are referred to as the Watchers in Enoch and “sons of God” in Genesis 6:1-4.

From Noah up to the building of the Tower, Mankind has rejected God’s love, direction, and provisions once again, (it sure does sound a lot like our day and age).
They were seeking power, dark power, more incantations, more divination secrets, more information from the dead, witchcraft…etc. They were seeking knowledge from any wicked source they could, and this is why God put an abrupt end to it.
It’s obvious that wiping man out and starting over again isn’t the solution. Things needed to be dealt with differently this time.

As a side note, remember, Abraham hasn’t even entered the seen yet. God is still dealing with the descendants of Noah’s 3 stooges… er…um…sons.

What else is happening at the big tower?
God not only confounded their language, but He also DISPERSED them all over the face of the earth!  We are not told how He did it. Maybe He transported them, it doesn’t matter how. What’s important is that we see the beginning of many nations all over the globe, and because fallen man is everywhere around the earth, you would think they will need more help from God than ever, but that’s not what they get.
Remember, they have rejected God.
This also, will be understood when we explore other verses.

The Bible doesn’t say directly anything about God setting divine beings over the nations in Genesis 11, however if you do a little detective work, you can find it in Deuteronomy.

For those of you who believe that Genesis 11 is all there is to say about the Tower of Babel, you are missing 3 very important verses that explain why Israel is God’s chosen people.
Note: Deut 32:7-9 (ESV)
7). “Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask thy father, and he will shew thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee.
8). When the MOST HIGH gave the nations their inheritance, when he divided mankind, he fixed the borders of the peoples according to the number of the SONS OF GOD (fallen elohim).
9). For the LORD’S portion is his people; Jacob (ISRAEL) his allotted inheritance.”

Look at verse 8. It is speaking of when God scattered the people around the globe. When God “ divided humanity,” He gave them their inheritance with the portion of earth He allotted to them. He also gave them over to their desires.
He divided humanity and also gave them over to their desires.
He divided humanity and also gave them over to their desires
He divided humanity and also gave them over to their desires. Think about that!

Then verse 9 wraps it up with a nice little bow on top. THE LORD’S INHERITANCE IS ISRAEL. “The LORD’S portion is his people; Jacob his allotted inheritance.”
There’s only one problem, Israel wasn’t a nation, or even a people when God divided mankind in Genesis 11.

All of the above is something that the second Temple Jew would have clearly understood.
Coming to terms with this will throw your theology off 180 degrees, but so what! The reason you read the Bible is to know truth, isn’t it?

Gaining knowledge and understanding in fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. But don’t take my word for it, ask God.

The one reason this has been discovered as of late is due to the Dead Sea Scrolls. For instance, the verse above, Deut 32:8b reads in the KJV, “He fixed the borders of the people according to the number of the CHILDREN OF ISRAEL.

PAY CLOSE ATTENTION!

This is NOT talking about Israel’s inheritance. This verse makes no sense! During the time of Babel Israel wasn’t even a people then – how could it be?
God hadn’t even called Abraham yet!!!

When this dividing of nations took place (in Genesis 11), Israel was nothing, nada, zip – there was no Israel. The first appearance of Israel is in the next chapter when God calls Abraham (Genesis 12). It can only be referring to one thing – the SONS OF GOD (lesser Elohim, as in the Dead Sea, Scrolls).

Remember how we discussed them as THE WATCHERS in our last series on demons?
Well, here are some more fallen angels for you.
These are NOT the original Watchers. They are still chained in Tartarus. This is a new group of fallen angels rebelling against God again.

Verse 8b was misinterpreted by the men on the King James committee.
But the good news is that The Dead Sea Scrolls has that verse reading as, “He fixed the borders of the people according to the number of the SONS OF GOD.”
The sons of God spoken of here is the same reference to the sons of God in Genesis 6:1-4.
THEY ARE FALLEN ELOHIM!
Verse 7 is saying, ask your fathers and your grandfathers, and they will tell you what happened at the Tower of Babel.
Praise God for the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls! (Actually, I believe that God has kept it hidden away for our generation).

Here is why Israel is God’s chosen people. Because the godless Mesopotamian people were so wicked, by worshiping and sacrificing to lesser gods, YAHWEH DISOWNS THEM.
YES!!! When He divided humanity and gave them over to their desires, HE DISOWNED THEM.

Mankind did it again by forsaking the one true God in favor of lesser gods.
In essence God is saying to the wicked elohim, “Fine! I’ll start a nation of my own who will not only worship Me, but will draw all nations to Me.” And that’s when He called Abraham in the next chapter. THIS IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER AND UNDERSTAND WHEN WE GET TO THE PART WHERE JESUS PUTS DEMONS ON NOTICE.

Deut 32:16-17, “They provoked Him to jealousy with strange gods, with abominations provoked they Him to anger. They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods (The NEW SET OF FALLEN ANGELS), that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not.”

God is so fed-up with mans rebellion, he DISOWNS them and give them over to a reprobate mind, to the continuous rebellion they desired, AND ALSO GIVES THEM OVER TO THE gods OF THEIR OWN CHOOSING!

But this is not all the proof we have. More to come.
“Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman than needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the WORD OF TRUTH.” (2 Tim 2:15).
