BREAKING: Theresa May will NOT resign – PM set to stay after she fails to get majority


Tory sources confirmed the prime minister is not planning to step down despite being under fire after results left the UK with a hung parliament.  Earlier this morning as she accepted victory in her Maidenhead constituency, Mrs May referred back to her “strong and stable” mantra even though exit polls predict the Tories may fall short of a majority. She said: “At this time more than anything else, this country needs a period of stability. “And if, as the indications have shown and if this is correct that the Conservative Party has won the most seats and probably the most votes, then it will be incumbent on us to ensure we have that period of stability – and that is exactly what we will do.”…….Read More
