THE END OF PRIVACY: New facial recognition app allows users to identify STRANGERS in crowd

imageNew app Findface manages to identify people in a crowd. The new Russian app, FindFace, allows users to photograph people in a crowd and work out their identities, with 70 per cent reliability. The app works by comparing photographs to profile pictures on the social network Vkontakte, which has more than 200million accounts in Russia and the former Soviet Union. The founders, 26-year-old Artem Kukharenko, and 29-year-old Alexander Kabakov hope that in the future people walking in the street could find your social network profile by taking a sneaky photograph of you.
